PWRO4
PURE WATER
System tested and certified by NSF International
against NSF/ANSI Standard 58 for the reduction
of the claims specified on the performance data
sheet.
Note: Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or
of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after
the system. Systems certified for cyst reduction may be used
on disinfected waters that may contain filterable cysts.

How to fix low/slow production in Watts Water Filtration Systems?
    • G
      griffinnatashaAug 1, 2025
If your Watts Water Filtration System has low or slow production, first ensure that your incoming water pressure is at least 40psi. Watts offers a booster pump if your home's water pressure is too low. Also, make sure the water supply is on and the Adapt-A-Valve™ is fully open. Other potential causes include crimped tubing (check and straighten or replace it), clogged pre-filters (replace them), or a fouled membrane (replace the membrane and flow restrictor).

Why my Watts PWRO4 Water Filtration Systems constantly running, and how to fix it?
    • C
      Catherine ParkerAug 8, 2025
If your Watts Water Filtration System is constantly running and won't shut off, several factors could be responsible. One potential reason is low water pressure (refer to solution #1). Another cause might be a crimp in the supply tube, so inspect the tubing and straighten or repair it as needed. High water pressure could also be the culprit; ensure it doesn't exceed 80psi, and consider installing a pressure relief valve if necessary. Additionally, check the tank's air pressure; if it's too high, empty the storage tank and set the air pressure between 5-7psi.

How to fix water leaks from the filter housing in Watts PWRO4 Water Filtration Systems?
    • J
      John PhillipsAug 13, 2025
If your Watts Water Filtration System is leaking water from the blue or white filter housing, it could be because the bowl isn't properly tightened. Try tightening the bowl first. If the leak persists, turn off the water supply and release the pressure. The O-ring might be kinked; replace it if necessary. Before reinstalling the filter bowl, lubricate the O-ring and ensure it's seated properly in the filter bowl.

Why is there a small amount of water in storage tank of Watts PWRO4?
    • J
      John BartlettAug 20, 2025
If you're getting only a small amount of water in the storage tank of your Watts Water Filtration System, it could be because the system is still starting up; it typically takes 4-6 hours to fill the tank. Note that low incoming water pressure or temperature can significantly reduce the production rate. Another possibility is low water pressure (refer to solution #1). Also, check the air pressure in the tank; it should be 5-7psi when the tank is empty of water. If it's below 5psi, add air; if it's above 7psi, bleed air. Ensure you check the pressure only when the tank is empty of water.

Why is the water from my Watts PWRO4 milky colored?
    • C
      Casey SmithAug 26, 2025
Milky colored water from your Watts Water Filtration System is usually due to air in the system, which is normal when you initially start up the RO system. This milky appearance should disappear within 1-2 weeks of normal use. If it reoccurs after a filter change, drain the tank 1 to 2 times.
