ENGINE STARTING & STOPPING PROCEDURE
(NOTE: STARTING AN ENGINE WITHOUT ENGINE OIL OR FUEL CAN SERIOUSLY DAMAGE THE MACHINE)
STARTING THE ENGINE (COLD)
1. Make sure that your mower is on a safe, flat area (a paved area or path is ideal - avoid thick wet grass and
gravel surfaces) away from fuel or fuelling areas to make starting safe.
2. Press the fuel primer bulb, located on the side of the engine, within the air filter casing, three times.
3. Pull the OPC/Brake lever towards the main handle. Do not let go.
4. Grab the recoil starter handle and pull lightly until resistance is felt, then pull rapidly.
5. The engine should start.
6. Rehouse the recoil starter handle. Do not let it go until housed to prevent damage.
7. If the engine does not start, run through from step 2 again.
