8.2.3. Check the engine oil
level
Park the machine on a horizontal subsurface.
Switchotheengineandwaitforseveralminutesuntilthe
oil has collected in the crankcase.
Open the maintenance cover.
CAUTION! Danger of burn injuries at the hot engine and its
attachments.
Allowthecombustionenginetocooldownsucientlybefore
starting work.
Unscrew the oil dip stick from the crankcase.
Wipeotheoildipstickwithacleancloth.
Screw the oil dip stick back into the crankcase.
Unscrew the oil dip stick from the crankcase.
The correct oil level is between the “min.” and the “max.”
marks.
Whentheoillevelreachesthe“min.”mark,llinfreshoilin
accordancewiththespecication.
Close the maintenance cover.
8.2.4. Change the engine oil
CAUTION
Danger of burn injuries at the hot engine and its attachments.
Allowthecombustionenginetocooldownsucientlybefore
starting work.
Use extra caution during work on the engine when it is at
operating temperature.
Start the engine and allow the engine to warm up for a few
minutes.
Switchotheengine.
Open the maintenance cover.
Unscrew the oil dip stick (1). It also serves as the seal for
theoilllerneck.
Place a suitable collection vessel under the oil drain.
