What to do if the Weed Eater RT112C Trimmer head stops under load?
    • L
      Linda MckenzieJul 30, 2025
If the trimmer head of your Weed Eater Trimmer stops under a load, ensure you're allowing the tip of the line to do the cutting, instead of crowding the line against the material. Also, check the breaker box, and remove any debris that may be stopping the head. If those steps don't resolve the issue, it could be due to an electrical failure, in which case you should contact your authorized service dealer.

If the line of your Weed Eater Trimmer does not advance or breaks while cutting, check the line routing and rewind the line tightly and evenly onto the spool. Ensure you are using the correct line size (0.065 in. (1.65 mm) dia.). Also, make sure there's enough line outside of the head by removing the cover and pulling 4 inches (10 cm) of line out. Excessive line usage in your Weed Eater Trimmer can be caused by several factors. First, check the line routing in the head. Ensure you are using the correct line size. Crowding the line against the material you're cutting can also lead to excessive usage, so cut with the tip of the line fully extended.
