Open
The test has not begun since a valid ear cavity has not been detected.
Possible causes:
• Instrument is not in an ear
• Probe tip is not completely sealed in an ear
• Perforated tympanic membrane
• Ear with patent tympanostomy tubes
• Extremely large canal (> 2.5 cc)
Possible solutions:
• Reposition the probe tip
• Perform otoscopy to check for perforated membrane or patent tympanostomy tubes
Test
The TEST message indicates that the test has started. Test data will begin to appear
immediately.
