1. Switch off the Xpert and push the desired comb attachment onto
the blade head

4 Cleaning and care
CAUTION:
To ensure proper functioning of the appliance, the blade head must
be cleaned regularly and oiled in the appropriate places. Failure to
clean the blade head regularly results in excessive wear on blade
head and motor.
Cleaning the blade head
If used regularly, the blade head

should be thoroughly cleaned
once a day.
1. Switch the appliance off.
2. Press downwards on the blade head (see
illustration) and remove it from the appli-
ance.
3. Carefully remove the hairs with the clean-
ing brush

4. Push the upper and lower blades slightly
apart (see illustration) and use the clean-
ing brush to remove any hairs between
them.
NOTE:
You can use the cutting length adjustment lever

to move
the upper and lower blades apart.
Oiling the blade head
The blade head
4
must be oiled regularly (pref-
erably daily).
1. Remove the blade head.
2. Oil the positions where the top and bot-
tom cutting blades meet (see illustration).
3. Run the Xpert for about 20 seconds to
ensure that the oil is properly distributed.
- You can carry on working with it while
doing so.
