5.6 Commissioning
5.6.1 Start-up
Remove all packaging and protective material and position the TOPITEC
®
TOUCH on the work top
(see chapter 5.3.1.1). The TOPITEC
®
TOUCH must be placed on a level and firm surface.
When choosing the location of installation, observe the information below.
The TOPITEC
®
TOUCH is not designed for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres.
When handling hazardous substances, always strictly adhere to the relevant safety instructions.
For more information, refer to the BAK Guidelines and the German Hazardous Substances Ordinance.
• Connect the power cord to the mains filter socket at the rear of the device.
• Connect the plug of the power cable to the mains socket.
Ensure that the power socket is correctly earthed!
• Switch on the device, following the instructions in chapter 6.
The power cable socket of the TOPITEC
®
TOUCH is located at the rear of the device.
Compare the mains voltage with the rated voltage of the system (220/230 V).
The mains plug should always be easily accessible.
Before connecting the plug to the mains socket,
ensure that the power switch is set to "0" (OFF).
Switch on the TOPITEC
®
TOUCH
by setting the mains switch to "I".
The device must subsequently be operated
exclusively with the touch pen included in the delivery.
Do not apply force when touching the touch screen surface.
If the touch screen buttons are touched by hand or another implement,
the screen might become dirty or damaged.
After switching on the device, the touch screen shows an important reminder.
Touch the screen with the touch pen to close the message.
You can now proceed with configuring the device.
