Transport- Installation- Operation
Set-up place:
The crimper is designed for mobile use in
dry, dust-free and well-lit rooms at tem-
peratures of 15°- 40° C. For stationary use
a horizontal, sturdy and non-skid surface
is necessary.
Regarding an ergonomically designed
working place for stationary use of the
crimper see DIN 33402, par 2 human
measurements, values (resp.
corresponding domestic standards).
Transport and Set-up:
For table fixture only
Fix table fixture onto a safe padding. Insert
battery from above into table fixture
. Place
foot pedal below the table.
Operation:
Insert charged battery into the handle of the
crimper until it clicks in.
1. Make sure toll is in the lowest position. If
not, ram can be moved back to final
position by means of the return lever (1).
2. Pull out locking bolt (2); open tool head.
Now the respective die set can be
inserted. The click-in mechanism of the
tool head secures upper and lower die.
3. Close tool head and lock it by means of
the locking bolt (2).
Before operating the tool make sure,
that the locking bolts are closed and
the dies are clicked in properly.
4. Insert the contact in a way, that the crimp
dies are positioned to the centre of the
crimp area. The ram is being operated by
pushing the orange button (3). The tool
should be operated until the contact is
fixed by the ram, however not deformed.
The wire can now easily be inserted into
the contact.
5. Close the tool completely by further
pushing the orange button (3).
Caution:
Prevent injuries caused by inadver-
tence. For safety reasons always
remove the battery before reaching
inside the tool head.
6. A click is audible when the crimp cycle is
completed.
7. Move back ram (1) by operating the
return lever.
8. Remove crimped contact. In order to
remove some types of contact it can be
necessary to open on side of the frame:
Pull out locking bolt, open one side of the
frame, remove crimped contact and lock
the frame again with the bolt (make sure
the head has been closed properly).
