Why is my Whirlpool Dishwasher not working?
    • G
      Gerald GoodAug 20, 2025
Your Whirlpool Dishwasher might not be working because it is not switched on, the door isn't closed properly, or the delayed start option is activated. Ensure the dishwasher is powered on and the door is securely closed. If the 'Delayed start' option is on, the appliance will start when the set time elapses; reset it to '0' to start immediately. Also, check the household circuit fuse if there is no power supply.

What to do if my Whirlpool Dishwasher leaves crockery and cutlery with food residues?
    • G
      gdayAug 22, 2025
If your Whirlpool Dishwasher leaves food residues on dishes, make sure that items don't touch each other, arranging concave items facing downwards. Use enough detergent, that is not too old and stored correctly. Select a wash program with a higher temperature for heavily soiled crockery. If you're using the Half load/Multizone option, load only the upper or lower rack. If you often use the Eco 50°C program, occasionally select the Intensive 70°C program. Ensure the spray arms aren't clogged, filters are clean and correctly fitted, and spray arms can turn freely.

How to fix a Whirlpool ADG 7470/1 when the CANCEL/Off indicator lamp blinks 6 times and the wash program ended too early?
    • W
      William JacksonAug 25, 2025
If the CANCEL/Off indicator lamp blinks 6 times and the wash program ended too early on your Whirlpool Dishwasher, the filters might be dirty or clogged. Also, there might be too little water in the dishwasher’s water system, or the drain hose might be incorrectly fitted. High level of foam inside might be the reason. Ensure the filters are clean, arrange concave items facing downwards, and fit the drain hose correctly, leaving min. 200-400 mm from the lower edge of the appliance. Repeat without detergent or wait until foam disappears.

Why are my Crockery and cutlery not dry after using Whirlpool Dishwasher?
    • K
      Kimberly WrightAug 26, 2025
If crockery and cutlery are not dry after using your Whirlpool Dishwasher, it could be because plastic containers don't dry well, clean dishes are left in the dishwasher too long, concave items are arranged incorrectly, the rinse aid dosage is incorrect, or a rapid program was selected. Wipe synthetic materials dry. Try releasing the door 5 minutes before removing the dishes. Arrange crockery so that water does not collect in cavities. Increase the rinse aid dosage. Select a standard-length program instead of the Rapid program.

Why does my Whirlpool Dishwasher have deposits: regeneration salt residue on crockery and cutlery?
    • H
      Heather HeathAug 28, 2025
If your Whirlpool Dishwasher leaves regeneration salt residue on crockery and cutlery, it could be due to hard water, an open salt reservoir cap, or not enough rinse aid. Add more regeneration salt in areas with very hard water. Close the salt reservoir cap properly. If you use a combined action detergent, try adding more rinse aid.

What does it mean when the CANCEL/Off indicator lamp blinks 6 times on my Whirlpool ADG 7470/1 Dishwasher?
    • S
      Sharon SchmidtAug 30, 2025
If the CANCEL/Off indicator lamp blinks 6 times on your Whirlpool Dishwasher, it could be due to a closed water tap, a kinked water inlet hose, clogged inlet filters, or low water pressure. Ensure the water tap is open, the inlet hose isn't kinked, and the inlet filter in the water tap connector is clean. Also, make sure the water tap is fully open during water inlet, providing a minimum capacity of 0.5 liters per minute.

    • M
      Martin PetersonSep 1, 2025
If the CANCEL/Off indicator lamp blinks 8 times on your Whirlpool Dishwasher, it could be due to dirty filters, a kinked drain hose or a closed syphon hose connection. Clean the filters, ensure the drain hose isn't kinked, and remove the closure disk from the syphon hose connection.
