  Your Whirlpool Washer might not be draining properly due to several reasons. Small items may be caught in the pump or between the basket and tub, so empty pockets and use garment bags for small items. Also, the washer may be overloaded, so use a cycle with a high spin speed. Ensure the plumbing has correct drain hose installation and that you are using only HE detergent, because wrong or too much detergent can cause excessive suds, slowing down the draining and spinning. To remove extra suds, select the DRAIN & SPIN cycle.

Also, empty pockets, zip zippers, and snap or hook fasteners before washing to prevent damage. Tie all strings and straps before starting the wash. Load garments in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall to avoid overloading, and do not pour liquid chlorine bleach directly onto the load.
