REMOVING THE EVAPORATOR
1. Unplug the air conditioner or disconnect
the power.
2. Remove the air conditioner from the win-
dow (see page 2-2 for the procedure).
3. Remove the grille assembly and cabinet
from the air conditioner (see pages 3-2
and 3-3 for the procedures).
4. Remove the thermistor from the mounting
clip.
6. Braze on an access valve and discharge
the sealed system refrigerant into a refrig-
erant recovery bag.
7. Remove the foam insulation from around
the evaporator tubing.
5. Pull the mounting clip off the evaporator
tubing and reinstall it on the new evapora-
tor at the same location.

NOTE: Sharp edges may be present.
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
