Why Whirlpool WED72HEDW clothes are not drying?
- JJoshua EsparzaAug 17, 2025
Several factors can cause your Whirlpool dryer to not dry clothes effectively. Check if the EcoBoost™ option is turned on, as it prioritizes energy savings over drying time. Ensure the lint screen, exhaust vent, and outside exhaust hood are clean and free of obstructions. Verify the exhaust vent is the correct length and diameter (4"/102 mm). Make sure the dryer is level so clothes contact the moisture sensors. Select the appropriate temperature setting and avoid overloading the dryer. Fabric softener sheets shouldn't block the air outlet grille. Finally, ensure the room temperature is above 45ºF (7ºC) and that the dryer isn't located in a closet without proper ventilation.
