Why won't my Whirlpool WET4027EW0 run or fill with water?
    • P
      Paul YatesSep 4, 2025
If your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer won’t run or fill, or stops working, first, ensure it’s properly plugged into a grounded outlet or reconnect the power supply. Avoid using extension cords and make sure the outlet has power. Check the door is closed completely. If the washer is overloaded, remove some items, rearrange the load evenly in the basket, and add detergent. Also, the washer spins the dry load for several minutes before filling to check if the load is balanced. You may hear a humming sound, which is normal. Avoid adding more than 1 or 2 additional items after a cycle starts to prevent tightly packing or unbalancing the load.

Why is my laundry packet not dissolving in my Whirlpool WET4027EW0?
    • J
      Jason BarkerSep 18, 2025
If a single-dose laundry packet is not dissolving in your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer, be sure to add the laundry packet to the washer basket before adding clothes.

If your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer load is too hot, allow the Cool Down cycle to finish before removing laundry from the dryer.

Why does the water level seem too low in my Whirlpool WET4027EW0 Washer/Dryer?
    • T
      Todd CastilloSep 14, 2025
If the water level seems too low in your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer, it's normal because the top of the agitator is much higher than the highest water level. This design is necessary for clothes to move freely.

Why are my clothes not completely covered with water in my Whirlpool WET4027EW0?
    • C
      Carol WadeSep 13, 2025
If clothes are not completely covered with water in your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer, it's because this washer uses much less water than traditional top-load washers. Clothes may not be completely covered with water, and this is normal.

Why is my Whirlpool WET4027EW0 Washer/Dryer load not rinsing properly?
    • S
      Steven WigginsSep 12, 2025
If your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer load is not rinsed properly, first check the water supply to ensure the hot and cold inlet hoses are not reversed and that both hot and cold water faucets are turned on. Also, inspect the inlet valve screens on the washer for clogs and remove any kinks in the inlet hose. Using too much detergent can also cause this issue, so always measure detergent and follow detergent directions based on load size and soil level.

Why are the wash and rinse temperatures wrong on my Whirlpool WET4027EW0?
    • D
      Derek WardSep 9, 2025
If you're experiencing incorrect wash or rinse temperatures with your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer, start by checking the water supply. Ensure the hot and cold inlet hoses are not reversed. Both hoses must be attached to both the washer and the faucet, with both hot and cold water flowing to the inlet valve. Also, check that the inlet valve screens are not clogged and remove any kinks in the hoses. Note that this washer uses cooler wash and rinse water temperatures than your previous washer due to energy-saving controlled wash temperatures.

Why is my Whirlpool Washer/Dryer making unusual sounds?
    • A
      Amanda WalshSep 7, 2025
If your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer is producing unusual sounds, especially after a period of non-use, there may be a thumping sound during the first few minutes of operation, which is normal. Also, check the front and rear edges of the drum for small objects like coins, buttons, or paper clips caught between the drum and the front or rear of the dryer.

Why is the cycle time too short on my Whirlpool Washer/Dryer?
    • J
      Jose CarrollSep 6, 2025
If the cycle time on your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer seems too short, it could be that the automatic cycle is ending early. To resolve this, make sure the dryer is level, so the load can properly contact the sensor strips.

What to do if my Whirlpool WET4027EW0 Washer/Dryer is not draining or spinning and my clothes are still wet?
    • K
      Kimberly BarberAug 21, 2025
If your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer is not draining or spinning, and loads are still wet, it could be due to several reasons. Small items might be caught in the pump or between the basket and tub; therefore, empty pockets and use garment bags for small items. The cycle you selected might have a low spin speed; cycles with lower spin speeds remove less water than cycles with high spin speeds, so use the recommended cycle/spin speed for your garment. Also, check the drain hose installation to ensure it doesn't extend too far into the standpipe (farther than 4.5"). Do not tape over the drain opening. Too much detergent can also cause this issue, as suds can slow or stop draining and spinning. To remove extra suds, select Rinse and Spin.
