covered, brush-covered or grass-covered land unless the engine’s exhaust system is equipped with a spark arrester meeting
applicable local or state laws (if any). If a spark arrester is used, it should be maintained in effective working order by the operator.
In the State of California the above is required by law (Section 4442 of the California Public Resources Code). Other states may have
similar laws. Federal laws apply on federal lands. A spark arrester for the muffler is available through your nearest engine authorized

      The engine may fail to start due to several reasons: * The fuel tank might be empty or the fuel is stale. In this case, fill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline. Note that fuel will not last over thirty days unless a fuel stabilizer is used. * The throttle control lever might not be in the correct starting position. If equipped, move the throttle lever to the start position. * The fuel line could be blocked. Clean the fuel line. Refer to the engine manual packed with your unit. * The choke might not be in the ON position. Move the switch to the ON position. * The spark plug wire might be disconnected. Connect the wire to the spark plug. * The spark plug might be faulty. Refer to the engine manual packed with your unit.

Remember, fuel will not last over thirty days unless a fuel stabilizer is used. * A plugged vent in the gas cap. Clear the vent.
