THREAD
TENSION
After
you
finish
sewing
the
above
stitches,
check
if
upper
and
lower
thread
tensions
are
equal
and
strong
enough
to
lock
both
threads
in
center
as
in
figure
®.
If
upper
tension
is
too
tight,
upper
thread
lies
straight
along
upper
surface
of
fabric
.
If
lower
tension
is
too
tight
lower
thread
lies
straight
along
lower
surface
of
fabric

Correct
by
turning
tension
dial
in
the
direction
of
arrow.

Always
check
the
balance
of
upper
and
lower
tensions
by
test
sewing
using
fabric,
needle,
thread
and
stitch
pattern
you
plan
to
use.
