The WIKA CPG1200 is a digital pressure gauge designed for high-accuracy measurement of pneumatic or hydraulic pressures, combining the precision of digital electronics with the ease of use of an analog master gauge. It serves as both a calibration instrument and a reference instrument for various applications, including hydrostatic pressure testing, burst testing, leak measurement, setting switch points for pressure switches, and analyzing process pressures. The device is suitable for any application requiring high-accuracy pressure measurement within measuring ranges of -1 to 1,000 bar (-14.5 to 15,000 psi).
Function Description:
The CPG1200 features a 4 ½-digit 15-segment display that continuously shows the current pressure value. A large matrix area provides auxiliary information, including menu navigation and secondary displays for functions like peak values, temperature, and alarm limits. A 20-segment bar graph visually indicates the current pressure proportionally to the measuring range, with end points lighting up to signal underrun or overrun.
The instrument is controlled via four function buttons, each with a main and a secondary function:
- On/Off or Home button: Switches the CPG1200 on and off. In menu mode, a short press brings up "HOME," while a long press (at least 2 seconds) switches the device off.
- MENU button: Activates menu mode. In menu mode, it navigates left or right depending on the display. A long press (2 seconds) switches the cursor. Releasing the button when the arrow points left returns to the previous menu level. This button also confirms inputs.
- LIGHT button: Toggles the backlighting on and off. The duration of the backlight is configurable. In menu mode, it moves the cursor downwards.
- ZERO button: Sets the current pressure value to "0" (gauge) or a reference pressure (absolute). A maximum of 5% of the measuring span can be corrected. In menu mode, it moves the cursor upwards. For absolute pressure sensors, pressing this button prompts for a reference pressure input, which must be within ±5% of the instrument's initial absolute pressure.

Usage Features:
- User-Configurable Functions: The CPG1200 integrates various user-configurable functions such as logging (optional), sampling rate, tare, damping, automatic power-off, and Min./Max. measurement.
- Pressure Units: Factory preset to "bar" or "psi." Can be changed to 5 standard pressure units and 1 user-defined unit, or (with higher accuracy) an additional 15 predefined pressure and level units and a further user-defined unit.
- Peak Values: Displays minimum and maximum pressure values in the matrix field when activated.
- Temperature Display: Shows the temperature measured by the internal sensor, configurable in degrees Fahrenheit, Celsius, or Kelvin.
- Tare Function: Allows entering an offset value for the pressure reading. Both positive and negative tare values can be entered, limited by the measuring range.
- Damping: Filters the displayed measured value, with selectable factors (Off, Low=0.6, Medium=0.8, High=0.9). The sensor's actual measured value for other functions remains unaffected.
- Sample Rate: Configurable intervals (1/s, 2/s (default), 4/s, 10/s, Logger interval) at which the CPG1200 requests pressure values from the sensor.
- Alarm Function: Allows setting upper and lower alarm limits. When activated, the alarm limits are displayed, and the alarm symbol appears. Exceeding or dropping below an alarm value triggers a flashing bar graph and main display.
- Level Function: When activated, level units appear, and the density of the medium can be specified.
- Adjustment: Enables shifting the characteristic curve by an offset value or a span factor.
- Data Logger (Optional): Integrated data logger for automatic recording of up to 1,000,000 values. Configurable interval (1 to 3,600 s in 1-second steps or with measuring rate: 1/s, 2/s, 4/s, 10/s). Can be activated subsequently with an individual activation code.
- Bluetooth® (Optional): Enables wireless data transmission to a PC or mobile device for configuration, calibration, and logging tasks via WIKA-Cal calibration software or the "myWIKA device" app.
- Password Protection: Settings can be password-protected via WIKA-Cal or WIKA-DCS software to prevent unauthorized changes.
- Auto-off Time: Configurable time after which the CPG1200 automatically switches off (fixed at 15 min or Off for continuous operation).
- Light Off Time: Configurable time after which the backlighting switches off (fixed at 30 s or Off for continuous backlighting).
- Firmware Update: Can be performed via WIKA-Cal or WIKA-DCS software.
