3. Safety
The ow switch is used for monitoring ow losses and dry run. With analogue signal the ow switch should only be
used as a trend indicator, in order to monitor process changes, such as lter blocking.
Only use the ow switch in applications that lie within its technical performance limits.
→ For performance limits see chapter 9 “Specications”.
Refrain from unauthorised modications to the ow switch.
Any use beyond or dierent to the intended use is considered as improper use.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for claims of any type based on operation contrary to the intended use.
3.3 Personnelqualication
Skilled personnel
Skilled personnel, authorised by the operator, are understood to be personnel who, based on their technical training,
knowledge of measurement and control technology and on their experience and knowledge of country-specic regula-
tions, current standards and directives, are capable of carrying out the work described and independently recognising
potential hazards.
Special operating conditions require further appropriate knowledge, e.g. of aggressive media.
