FIBONACCI SERIES MANUAL REV 1.0

4.0 Stable Listening Room Environment & Surface Finishes
A Wilson Benesch loudspeaker is constructed from high quality materials and surface nishes that are durable. However these products are electronic devices, constructed
from precision components, with specialist luxurious nishings applied. Therefore your Wilson Benesch loudspeaker should be cared for and protected at all times from
high humidity, air pollutants and water. Loudspeakers should not be left in direct sunlight. Direct sunlight will heat the surface nishes of the loudspeaker and damage the
nishing. During periods when the loudspeakers will not be used, it is recommended that they are covered.
In areas of the world where high humidity, and or, air pollution is prevalent such as in large city areas, Wilson Benesch highly recommend the use of air puriers and air
conditioning to maintain a steady state, stable environment for your loudspeakers and electronics.
Drive Unit Rubber Surrounds: The rubber surrounds used by Wilson Benesch have an agent added during manufacturing that is designed to react with pollutants in the air to
protect the rubber. A characteristic grey discolouring of the rubber surround is a sign that the rubber is reacting. This can be cleaned from the surface and the normal black
appearance returned, by using a cloth with a small amount of deionised puried water to dampen the cloth. It is important not to spread water onto other surface nishes
or leave any surface water, the cloth should be only slightly damp.
No other cleaning products or chemicals should be used on the surface nishes and in particular the drive units must not under any circumstances be cleaned with any
chemicals.
4.1 Running-in (168-hours)
The quality of the sound that you hear when you rst use your Fibonacci Series loudspeakers will improve signicantly over time. However, the biggest changes to the
performance of your Fibonacci Series loudspeaker will take place during what is commonly known as the running-in or burn-in period. Wilson Benesch recommends at least
one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours of running in before making any subjective judgements of the speaker’s performance, but the loudspeaker will continue to improve
well beyond this.
