Upper and lower limit of the permitted ambient air pressure for transport and storage of the
device (on the packaging label).
Caution, fragile! Do not knock, throw or otherwise subject the packaging to mechanical
forces.
Protect against liquids!
The marked device has no protection against the ingress of liquids and must be protected
against moisture and spilled liquids.
7. Preparation
Carefully read the information and notes in these operating instructions before commissioning.
Danger from electric shock as well as spreading of fire!
Always store and operate the device within the ambient conditions specified in chapter
9. Acclimatize the device to the permitted ambient conditions for operation at least 1
hour before commissioning.
The power supply unit of the HS-100 can be connected to the mains supply 100 V - 240 V, 50/60 Hz.
Danger due to strangulation!
The device has an external power supply. When setting up the unit, make sure that no
one (especially small children) can catch and strangle themselves on this supply line.
Danger from spreading fire!
With the 'Standby' switch ( ) the entire device is not disconnected from the power
supply. Position the device so that the plug-in power supply is accessible at all times
and can be disconnected from the mains in the event of a hazardous situation.
The device must be installed in a clean and stable place, free of liquids and foreign substances.
Danger due to contamination!
Make sure that no contamination can enter at the air intake point on the underside.
Never remove the coarse filter on the underside and use the device. For changing the
coarse filter, see chapter 8.
Inserting the air filter
The air filter (7) is delivered in a sealed package. Only remove the air filter from this packaging
immediately before inserting it. The air filter is inserted on the underside of the unit and fastened with
the fixing clamp. Only after inserting the air filter can the filled water bottle be placed in the unit.
Filling the refillable water bottle
To fill the bottle with purified water (2), the user must first unlock the locking screw (1) and then remove
the cover cap (2). The refillable bottle (4) can then be removed. The user can unscrew the drain cap for
the refillable water bottle (9) and fill the bottle with purified water. The purified water can be reordered
under the following order number (100/1005).
