Descaling programme
Your coffee pad machine has an automatic descaling programme. It takes
approximately 15 to 20 minutes and is stopped twice so that you can top it off
with water.
Note: Once started, the descaling programme should not be stopped. This is
for the safety of all users. This is to prevent coffee from unintentionally being
brewed if the descaling solution has not yet been completely been rinsed out. In
an emergency, you can stop the descaling programme by pressing the On / Off
button (4). In this case, you should then rinse twice as described in the section
“Rinse procedure.”
1. Place a catch basin with at least 1 litre capacity on the grate insert (1).
2. Slide the empty pad cartridge (9) into the brewing chamber and turn the
adjusting knob (10) to the symbol
.
3. Fill the empty water tank (11) with the descaling agent dosed according to the
manufacturer’s instructions for a descaling procedure. Fill the water tank up
to the max. mark with cold tap water and place it in the appliance.
4. Switch on the appliance using the On/Off button (4).
5. Hold down both of the start buttons
(3) and (5) (3 to 4 seconds) until
the pump starts. The On / Off button (4) now illuminates blue until the descal-
ing programme is complete.
6. After approximately 15 minutes, the On / Off button (4) flashes blue / yellow.
Empty the catch basin and place it back under the spout (6). Fill the previously
rinsed water tank (11) with 0.8 litres of fresh water. The On / Off button (4)
flashes blue / white.
7. Turn the adjusting knob (10) to the position for hot water
.
8. Push any start button
(3) or (5) to continue the programme.
9. After approximately 2 minutes, the On / Off button (4) flashes blue / yellow.
Empty the catch basin and place it back under the spout (6). Fill the water
tank (11) with 0.8 litres of fresh water. The On / Off button (4) flashes blue /
white.
10. Press any start button
(3) or (5) to continue with the second rinse.
11. After another approximately 2 minutes, the descaling programme is ended and
the appliance automatically switches off.
It is best to place the pad cartridge (9) and the spout (6) with a sieve insert (7)
into the dishwasher after descaling.
