Fault Remedy
The quality of the
crema insufficient.
▪ On a new unit, the optimal quality of the crema is only realised if the
appliance is in use for some time.
▪ Clean and descale the strainer at regular intervals.
▪ The sieves in the in the sieve unit may not be pressed against each other.
If this does happen, then it needs to be replaced.
The spout drips for a
long time.
▪ After brewing, always move the adjusting knob back to the home posi-
tion
. This will prevent a long dripping.
The device switches off
during heating.
▪ Do not operate the appliance at altitudes higher than 1500m above sea
level.
The rinse procedure
does not start.
▪ It is important to press both buttons at the same time.
The descaling pro-
gramme does not start.
▪ It is important to press both buttons at the same time. Try it again and
first release the button once the scaling indicator remains illuminated
and the pump is running.
Water is escaping from
the handle on the pad
cartridge
▪ Check to see whether the pad has been correctly inserted into the pad
cartridge. If the paper edge of the pad extends beyond the edge of the
recess, the seal will be prevented during brewing.
▪ Sudden water leakage can also occur in the event of a clogged pad
cartridge.
There is water under
the device.
▪ Empty the drip tray in good time.
▪ At the highest, fill the water tank to its max mark.
▪ Never allow the appliance to stand for a long time without a water
tank.
