8.4 Repair
Changing the pump element:
Note: Prior to pump element removal, the reservoir must be emptied
since otherwise lubricant may spill.
Note: When removing the pump element, be careful to remove the
pressure spring and the delivery piston from the reservoir as
well. If these parts are left in the reservoir, the pump unit may
be damaged and, thus, fail.
Unscrew the pump element cautiously. Replace the old pump element by an exchange
element.
Pump element installation should be done as follows:
With the delivery piston being pulled out approximately
to its half, insert the pump element slantingly in upward
direction into the location hole of the casing
Tilt the pump element downward as soon as the
delivery piston head rests at the pressure ring such that
it engages into the pressure ring’s groove
Screw the pump element down
Installation and commissioning will be facilitated when you fill with grease the pump
element’s hole that serves to accommodate the delivery piston.
