Plan lighting layout and keep timer remote from lights, other light sources, and reflective surfaces.
Connect outdoor lights to timer receptacle, ensuring total wattage does not exceed 1000 watts.
Plug timer into 120V outlet. Display shows flashing bars, and lights turn on.
Press selector to set duration (1-9 hours) or Dusk-to-Dawn (two parallel bars).
Lights turn on at dusk and stay on for selected duration or until dawn.
For best results, plug timer into a wall receptacle 1-2 feet above ground to prevent snow accumulation.
Shield sensor from other light sources to prevent timer malfunction and ensure correct operation.
Ensure sensor faces a window in dark areas for daylight reset, otherwise lights may not come on.
After power restoration, timer defaults to Dusk-to-Dawn mode with flashing parallel bars.
