FILLING THE SYSTEM
1 Turn on the water main and open the system
valves (align slot vertically).
2
Open all radiator valves.
3
Unscrew the tank drain cap and connect the
integral filling loop.
Open the flow and tank drain valves as shown.
Fill the system to a pressure up to 2 bar.
Close the flow valve.
4 Vent all radiators, retighten when completed.
Check the system and correct any leaks.
5
The boiler integral expansion vessel is pre-
charged to 0.75bar (equal to a static head of
7.5m (22ft)). A Schraeder type valve is fitted to
the expansion vessel to allow for pressure
adjustment if required.
If an extra expansion vessel is fitted to the
central heating return, adjust this to the same
pressure as the appliance internal expansion
tank, refer to separate instructions with the extra
expansion vessel.
6
Briefly open the pressure relief valve to test
its operation.
7
Close the tank drain valve.
Disconnect the integral filling loop.
Connect a suitable hose to the tank drain
ensuring safe disposal of the discharge.
Open the tank drain valve to reduce the system
pressure to the system pressure required, then
close.
System pressure and capacity:
1 bar 82 litres.
1.5 bar 46 litres.
Rotate the adjustable pointer on the pressure
gauge to record the set system pressure.
