CHARGING PROCEDURE

NOTE: Before using the tool, read the
instruction book carefully.
1. CHARGING YOUR BATTERY PACK
WARNING: The charger and battery
pack are specifically designed to work
together so do not attempt to use any other
devices.
The Li-ion battery is protected against deep
discharging. When the battery is empty,
the machine is switched off by means of a
protective circuit.
WARNING: When battery charge runs
out after continuous use or exposure to
direct sunlight or heat, allow time for the tool
to cool down before re-charging to achieve the
full charge.
2. BEFORE USING YOUR CORDLESS
TOOL
Your battery pack is UNCHARGED and you
must charge once before use. When you
charge the new battery or one which has not
been used for long periods of time, it may
not reach full charge until after you have
discharged it fully in use and recharge it
several times.
3. HOW TO CHARGE YOUR BATTERY
PACK (See A, B)
Connect the battery charger to the power
supply and the light (1) should turn to green.
Then, push battery into charger base (2)
until you hear a sound “click”, connection is
finished and the light (1) will turn to red to
show charging has started, until the battery is
fully charged. A discharged battery at normal
ambient temperature will take approximately
3-5 hours to reach full charge. When charging
is completed, unplug the charger and remove
the battery pack.
NOTE: This charger is designed to detect
some problems that can arise with battery
pack. (see table below)
Light Cause
Corrective
Measure
Green ON
Power On
or Fully
Charged
When fully
charged, unplug
the charger,
then separate
the battery pack
from charger
Red ON Charging
The charger and
battery pack
may become
warm to touch
while charging.
This is a normal
condition,
and does not
indicate a
problem.
Green ON
(After the
battery pack
is slid into
the charger,
and the
light is still
green.)
Charging
battery too
hot
Let the hot
battery cool
down for a
while. The light
will transfer
to red, which
means charging
is going on.
Defective
battery
Change a new
battery.
NOTE:
1. The charger will not automatically switch off
when the battery is full charged. Do not leave
your battery on charge continuously. This may
damage the battery cells.
Do not overcharge any batteries.
WARNING: After long usage the battery
will become hot. Let the hot battery cool
down for at least 0.5 hour before recharging.
2. Do not charge a battery when it too hot or
the air temperature is blew 4
o
C.
3. In a warm environment or after heavy
use, the battery pack may become too hot to
permit charging. Allow time for the battery to
cool down before recharging.
When the battery is charged for the first time
and after prolonged storage, the battery
will only accept approximately 60% charge.
However, after several charge and discharge
