For Your Safety
GB
Please read and comply with
these operating instructions
prior to initial operation of
your device.
Keep these operating instructions for
later use or for a subsequent owner.
Prior to rst use always read the safety instruc-
tions!
Failure to observe the operating instructions
and the safety instructions could result in dam-
age to the device and danger for the operator
and other persons.
Self and personnel protection
Always wear safety glasses and protective
clothing.
 Wearing personal protective equipment reduc-
es the risk of injury.
Someone should be within reach to come to
your aid when you are working with a lead
acid battery.
Have plenty of fresh water and soap on hand
in case battery acid contacts skin, clothing or
eyes.
If battery acid contacts skin or clothing, wash
immediately with soap and water. If acid enters
eye, immediately rinse eye thoroughly with run-
ning cold water for at least ten minutes and get
medical treatment immediately.
Never smoke in vicinity of battery or engine or
allow a spark or ame to occur.
Be extra cautious to reduce risk of dropping
a metal tool onto the battery. It can spark or
short-circuit the battery or other electrical parts
and can cause an explosion.
Remove personal metal items such as rings,
bracelets, necklaces and watches when
working with a lead acid battery. It can
produce a short circuit current high enough to
weld a ring or the like to metal causing severe
burns.
Use only genuine Würth accessories
and spare parts.
