Instructionsfor3Dcinemaglasses
TheactiveglassesX101workinautomaticmodethereisnopowerswitchtoturntheglasses"ON"
or"OFF".Uponreceivingtheglasses,theyareintheoffmode,meaningthattheglassesperiodically
check forthe valid IRsignal. Inthe offmodethelenses appear green.Upon
receivingthe IR signal,
theglassesstartawarmupsequence.
Warmupsequence‐Duringthe warmupperiodthelensesremain opaqueforthe entirewarmup
periodwhichlasts fortwoseconds.Attheendofawarmupperiodtheglassesgointonormalrun
mode.In
thismode,thelensesopenandcloseinsyncwiththeprojectortodeliverthe3Dexperience
totheviewer.
Clearmode‐Wheninrunmode,after theglassesloosea validsynchronization signal,theygotoa
clearmode (both lensesclear). Inthe clearmode, both lensesremain open,
so thattheviewer can
seenormallythroughtheglasses.Thelensesremainopenuntiltheglassesareabletoreceiveasync
signal.Iftheydon'treceivethesignalinfiveminutestheygotoanoffmode.
Batterylife‐Theglassescheckforalowbatteryconditionjust
beforegoingtothe"offmode".Ifthe
batterylifeisinsufficientthelenseswillbeginblinkingslowly(thelensesareclosedandbrieflyflash
open simultaneously once every two seconds) to indicate a low battery condition and prevent the
glassesfromgoingtorunmode.Thecontrolcircuitisdesigned
sothatalowbatteryconditiondoes
notappearduringtherunmodewhenwatchingamovie.
Replacingthebattery‐Accesstothebatteryisprovidedthroughanopeningontheinteriorsideof
the framethat is sealedoffby a cover.In the caseof dead battery,the
sealis opened using akey,
