Connect the gray coaxial cable from the FRT-7700 to the SW/BC terminal on the FRG-7700.
Connect antenna to ANT B terminal for normal operation or coaxial receptacle if available.
Set FRG-7700 for desired frequency and preset TUNER, ATT, BAND, and MATCHING controls.
Tune FRG-7700, push TUNER switch, adjust TUNING and MATCHING for maximum S-meter deflection.
Reduce incoming signals using the ATT control to resolve interference from strong signals.
Push OUT switch to DXBC for improved weak signal reception below 2 MHz.
