DESCRIPTION BEHAVIOR
Battery Voltage (B+) is over or under voltage
from nominal - (RH Node 3)
No truck operation at startup. During operation,
functions are stopped.
Probable Causes and Test Procedures
4. Verify proper line contactor operation:
a. Does the contactor stay engaged while operating vehicle?
YES- Proceed to step 7.
NO- Proceed to step 4b.
b. Disconnect low coil wire to line contactor (Wire 075 RED).
c. Using a 2A rated jumper wire, connect the open coil terminal to ground. Does the contactor pull-in
and hold?
YES- Coil driver may be damaged in RH Controller, see step 7.
NO- Proceed to step 6d.
d. Verify B+ voltage to coil of contactor (Wire 010 Red)
YES- Contactor coil is open or plunger damaged, replace contactor.
NO- Verify continuity between KEY-SW IGN to Line contactor.
5. Traction Controller Malfunction:
a. Does fault occur during regenerative braking?
YES- Faulty controller likely, replace.
NO- Line contactor driver may be faulty, perform tests via code 21569.
