Outboard Rigging Guide - 2001
For model year 2001, Yamaha has introduced a
new OEM standard 2-wire trim sender on all
power trim and tilt engines. We have pointed out
the changes that will take place to accomodate the
new trim senders below.
For 2001, the new Pro Series trim gauge part
number is 6Y5-83670-12-00.
The multifunction tachometer factory settings
will be changed. The gauge has not changed. If
you have 2000 rigging kits in stock, you will only
need to change the dip switch settings according-
ly.
When adjusting the trim sender and the gauge is
very erratic, verify the dip switch settings. If you
have the wrong setting for either 2 or 3 wire
senders, the trim bars will not operate normally.
