CONNECTIONS

CONNECTING A TURNTABLE

Connect turntable to PHONO jacks and ground terminal.

CONNECTING A TUNER

Connect tuner OUTPUT jacks to amplifier TUNER jacks.

CONNECTING A TAPE DECK

Connect TAPE PB to LINE OUT, REC OUT to LINE IN.

DAD (Digital Audio Disc) TERMINALS

Connect digital audio disc player to control amplifier.

AUX TERMINALS

Connect third tape deck, second tuner, or other sources.

AC OUTLETS

Provides switched and unswitched AC outlets for convenience.

CONNECTING THE POWER AMP

Connect C-40 PRE OUT jacks to power amplifier INPUT jacks.

POWER SWITCH

Push to turn power on or off. Set VOLUME down before on.

BASS CONTROL

Adjusts lower frequencies; center position is flat response.

TREBLE CONTROL

Adjusts higher frequencies; center position is flat response.

BALANCE CONTROL

Adjusts relative volume of left and right speakers.

SUBSONIC FILTER

Cuts out ultra-low-frequency signals from warped records.

PHONO MM/MC SELECTOR

Selects MM or MC cartridge type; push for MC, out for MM.

CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE LOUDNESS CONTROL

Retains tonal range at low volume levels; reset to flat before changing volume.

VOLUME CONTROL

Adjusts overall sound volume, calibrated in decibels.

INPUT SELECTOR SWITCHES

Selects the listening source.

Tape Dubbing

Instructions for dubbing tapes between two decks.

PHONES JACK

Mutes audio output for private listening when headphones are plugged in.
