4) Remove hull drain plug and the
engine compartment drain plugs.
Rinse the engine compartment with
a small amount of fresh water. Be
careful not to get water on the car-
buretor or electrical components.
Allow any water in the bilge to drain
out. After the water has drained,
wipe the engine compartment and
bilge with dry rags. Reinstall all
drain plugs.
NOTE: This boat is equipped with an
electric bilge pump that automatically
removes excess water from the bilge
while you are underway. However,
some residual water remains that must
be drained by removing the drain plug.
Tighten the hull drain plug securely
before launching the Jet Boat. Clean
any foreign material, such as dirt or
sand, from the threads before
installing the drain plug.
5) Spray a rust inhibitor, such as
Yamaha Silicone Protectant and
Lubricant, on metallic parts to mini-
mize corrosion.
