FRONT WHEEL AND BRAKE DISCS

NOTE:
INSPECTION
1. Inspect:
 Front wheel axle. Roll it on a flat surface.
Bends  Replace.
Do not attempt to straighten a bent axle.
2. Measure:
 Wheel runout
 Over the specified limit  Replace.
Rim runout limits:
Radial
a
: 1 mm
Lateral
b : 0.5 mm
3. Inspect:
 Wheel bearings
Bearings allow free play in the wheel hub or
wheel turns roughly  Replace.
 Oil seals
Wear/Damage  Replace.
Wheel bearing and oil seal replacement steps:
 Clean the outside of the wheel hub.
 Remove the oil seals using a flat-head screw
driver.
Place a rag on the outer edge to prevent damage.
 Remove the bearing
1 using a general bearing
puller
2.
 Install the new bearing and oil seal by reversing
the previous steps.
