8.2 Fuel system
DETACHABLE TANKS
Smaller Yamarin boats use detachable fuel tanks. The detachable tank is normally delivered
together with the outboard engine. Yamarin boats have spaces for two detachable tanks. Fuel
hoses are usually attached to detachable tanks with quick release couplings, so detaching the tank
and filling it at a service station while the boat remains in the water is quite convenient (please
refer to the section "Refuelling").
Detachable tanks are also usually equipped with displays that indicate the amount of remaining
fuel, and ventilation valves, which you should remember to open when the engine is being used, to
