Displayed screen shows current depth value and allows Depth Offset to be added
The DEPTH OFFSET is a xed amount to be added or subtracted from the depth reading. This allows
compensation for keels or depths from the water surface to be displayed. Select a positive number
equal to the vertical distance between the transducer and waterline for depth at the waterline; or select a
negative number equal to the vertical distance between the transducer and keel for depth at the keel. The
current depth as measured by the transducer is listed for comparison to a known depth value.

The SPEED option changes the speed transducer reading by the percentage set here.
It is also possible to calibrate this option automatically against a GPS speed input if a GPS device is
present. If there is very little tidal ow and the GPS is giving good SOG (Speed Over Ground ) data,
simply press the AUTO softkey and the i5501E will automatically calculate the correct percentage value
to ensure that both water speed and ground speed are identical.
