Usage Features:
The trimmer features a two-speed gear control (Low/High) to adapt to different working conditions. It is equipped with an On/Off switch and a lock-off button for safe operation. An auxiliary handle provides better control and comfort during use. The trimmer head includes a line cutter and a bump knob for adjusting the cutting line length. The safety guard is essential for directing thrown objects away from the operator and must always be in place.
Assembly:
- Upper and Lower Shaft Assembly: Connect the couplings of the upper and lower shafts, align the holes, and fasten them by tightening the bolt with the provided hex key.
- Auxiliary Handle Assembly: Place the auxiliary handle onto the shaft, aligning it with the anti-vibration circle. Secure it by tightening the four bolts with the hex key.
- Safety Guard Assembly: Attach the safety guard to the trimmer head by sliding it into the slots and securing it with the provided bolts using the hex key. The hex key should be stored in the top notch of the grass trimmer after use.
Operation:
- Battery Charging: The battery pack (not included) must be fully charged before first use. The charger indicates charging status (flashing green for charging, solid green for fully charged). If the battery pack is hot, it should be allowed to cool before recharging. For storage, charge the battery to at least half capacity every 3-6 months.
- Battery Installation/Removal: Slide the battery pack into the tool's battery port with a simple push. To remove, press the battery pack latch and pull the battery pack out.
- Switching On/Off: Press the lock-off button first, then the On/Off switch to turn on. Release the On/Off switch to turn off.
- Two-Speed Gear Control: Select Low (mark 1) or High (mark 2) speed based on the trimming requirements.
- Trimming Technique: Keep the trimmer head at an angle of about 30° to the ground. Avoid cutting wet grass. Work rhythmically, standing firmly with feet apart, and cut from right to left to throw trimmings away from the work area. For longer grass, cut in 2-3 stages. Do not move the trimmer too fast.
- Adjusting Cutting Line Length: The trimmer head allows for line release without stopping the motor. Lightly tap the bump knob on the ground while operating to release more line. The cutting line should be 0.080" (2 mm) maximum diameter.
Safety Precautions:
- Always read the instruction manual before use.
- Wear safety glasses or eye shields to prevent severe eye injury from thrown objects.
- Wear ear protection.
- Do not operate garden equipment near children.
- Keep hands and feet away from the cutting area.
- Ensure the safety guard is properly installed before operation.

Maintenance Features:
- General Maintenance: Always check the product for damage before and after use. Disconnect the battery before checking for damage. No additional lubrication or maintenance is required for the power tool itself, as there are no user-serviceable parts.
- Cleaning: Never use water or chemical cleaners. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Keep motor ventilation slots and all working controls free of dust.
- Battery Storage: Store the battery indoors for winter months. The recommended ambient temperature range for tool and battery use and storage is 0 – 45°C (32 – 113°F). The recommended ambient temperature range for charging is 0 – 40°C (32 – 104°F).
- Spool and Line Replacement:
- Replacing the Spool and Line: Press and hold the two cap release latches, rotate counter-clockwise to loosen the cap, and pull it away. Remove the old spool. Place the new spool into the cutting head, release one line from the cleat, and feed it through the eyelet. Replace the cap and turn it clockwise to tighten. If needed, manually pull out lines until they reach the line cutter.
- Replacing the Line Only: Use approximately 16' (4.9 m) of 0.080" (2 mm) diameter line. Insert the center point of the line into the notch in the middle section of the spool. Wind the line clockwise on both upper and lower sections of the spool, ensuring it is neatly coiled for efficient automatic bump line feed. Then fit the spool as described for "Replacing the Spool and Line."
