7 Precautions on Welding and Preparation Procedure
The following describes the precautions on welding and the preparation procedure.
7.1 Precautions on Welding
■ Display of Fault Monitor
The welder stops automatically when the fault monitor indicator lamp flashes or lights.
In this case, check the following items.
Display of Fault Monitor Indicator Lamp
The welder stops automatically when the fault monitor indicator lamp flashes or lights.
The fault status differs depending on whether the lamp flashes or lights. Take proper
corrective action according to the following:
Display of Monitor Lamp
Flashes repeatedly. When the
cause is removed, it is
automatically reset and the welder
can be used again.
Flashes.
Lights.
Lights continuously.
Checking Point and Corrective Action
Input Voltage Exceeded
Check that input voltage is not increased excessively.
Input voltage must be within ±10% of the rating.
Temperature Exceeded
Check that the temperature does not exceed the allowable value.
The interior temperature increases excessively. The temperature
must be within the rating operational ratio.
Short of Cooling Water Pressure
Check that the cooling water pressure is not reduced when the
water cooling torch is used. Adjust the water pressure to 0.07
Mpa (0.7 kgf/cm
2
) or more. When a air cooling torch is used,
confirm that the air/water cooling changeover switch is correct.
Input Current Exceeded
The internal circuit malfunctions or the element is
defective. Contact your Yaskawa representative.
