Usage Features

The Yeelight Lightstrip S1 offers straightforward setup and intelligent control. Setup Instructions:

Installation Surface Preparation: Clean the installation surface thoroughly to ensure proper adhesion.
Lightstrip Placement: Paste and fix the lightstrip onto the desired surface.
Power Connection: Plug the adapter into the power cable, rotating it 45 degrees clockwise to snap it into place. Connect the power supply to the controller, and then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
Basic Control: The controller features a single button ("O"). Tap it once to turn on the lightstrip, tap again to turn it off, and press it to cycle through different colors.
Extension: To extend the lightstrip, purchase the Yeelight Lightstrip Plus Extension. Match the end of the original lightstrip with the connection port of the extension and secure it with the fastener. Ensure each strip is tightly connected before mounting the next. The maximum extension is 10 meters.

Intelligent Control:

App Download: Search for "Yeelight" in your app store or scan the provided QR code to download the Yeelight App.
Connection: Turn on the lightstrip, open the app, and follow the on-screen prompts to connect. It is crucial to ensure that a Wi-Fi network is available and that you have proper internet access.
Apple HomeKit Smart Control:
- Open the Home App on your iPhone or iPad.
- Click the "+" button and add the accessory as prompted.
- Scan the QR code located on the right or under the product base of the product. Alternatively, input the 8-digit code shown above the QR code to complete access.
- Ensure a Wi-Fi network is available and you have internet access. Note that this product is not compatible with 5G networks.
- For proper HomeKit compatibility, iOS 9 or above is recommended.
- HomeKit codes are found under the base of the controller and are required for every reset.
- Home Hub Functionality: An Apple TV (4th generation or later) with tvOS 10 or later, an iPad with iOS 10 or later, or a HomePod can act as a home hub, enabling control of HomeKit-enabled accessories remotely and through automated triggers (e.g., time of day, location, sensor detection, or accessory actions).

Maintenance Features

How to Reset: To reset the lightstrip, disconnect the power. Press and hold the power button while reconnecting to the power supply. Continue holding the button for five seconds until the lightstrip cycles through red, green, and blue, and then turns yellow. Release the button, and the reset is complete. It is recommended to reset the lamp before using it in a new network environment.

Warnings and Safety:

Voltage Check: Always check the voltage before using the product. Incorrect voltage can damage the product and pose safety risks.
Indoor Use Only: This product is designed for indoor use exclusively.
Operating Environment: To prevent premature product failure, install the lightstrip only within an operating temperature range of 10°F to 104°F (-10℃ to +40℃).
Water Resistance: The lightstrip is not waterproof.
Regular Checks: Regularly inspect the cable, power supply, and all other parts for any damage.
Damaged Parts: Do not use the luminaire if any part is damaged.
Non-Replaceable Lamps: The lamps are not replaceable. When the light source reaches its end of life, the entire luminaire must be replaced.
