Usage Features:

  • High Modulus Carbon Fiber: The frame is constructed from high modulus carbon fiber, available in Turq Series (highest quality) and Carbon Series (slightly heavier but still high-performance) for optimal stiffness and efficiency.
  • Floating Collet Axle System: This system on pivots ensures a perfectly aligned connection between the front and rear triangles, enhancing bearing life and smooth movement.
  • Integrated ISCG-05 Mounts: Features 3-bolt ISCG-05 chain guide mounts for added drivetrain security on challenging trails.
  • Rattle-Free Cable Port Assembly: Designed with clamping cable ports to secure cables and hoses, reducing movement and noise for a silent ride. Configurable ports accommodate both cabled and wireless components.
  • Internally Molded Cable Tubes: Provides hassle-free routing of cables through the downtube, ensuring easy installation and a clean aesthetic.
  • Integrated Tapered Head Tube: A 41mm/52mm tapered head tube design increases stiffness and lowers overall ride height without compromising performance.
  • Custom Down Tube Protector and Ribbed Chain Guards: Custom-designed seatstay, chainstay, and down tube guards protect the frame and reduce chain slap noise, allowing riders to focus on the trail.
  • Integrated Axle and Universal Derailleur Hanger System (UDH): Dedicated 12 x 148 boost dropouts with SRAM's UDH provide strength, stiffness, and easy hanger and wheel installation.
  • Custom Tuned Rear Shock: Yeti develops custom suspension tunes to optimize suspension performance and perfectly complement the SB140's kinematics.
  • Dropper Post Compatibility: Designed to accommodate stealth dropper posts with specific insertion guidelines to prevent tire-to-saddle or tire-to-battery interference during suspension compression.
  • Water Bottle Fitment: Sizes L-XXL fit a standard-sized water bottle with a piggy-back shock, while SM and MD frames fit a standard 21oz water bottle with a piggy-back shock (side-entry cage recommended for easiest access).
  • Tire Clearance: Can accept up to a 2.6" tire, though actual tire sizes may vary by manufacturer.
  • Fork Compatibility: Designed for 150mm or 160mm travel forks, tested up to 180mm (max axle-to-crown 595mm). Running shorter forks is also possible but will steepen angles and lower the BB.
  • Coil Shock Compatibility: The frame is designed to be compatible with both air and coil-sprung shocks.

Maintenance Features:

  • Maintenance Schedule: A detailed schedule outlines routine checks (before each ride, monthly, 3 months, annually) including chain lubrication, tire pressure, cleaning, brake function, cable end caps, rim inspection, bolt tightening, headset adjustment, brake pad and tire wear, spoke tension, and chain wear.
  • Torque Specifications: Comprehensive torque specifications are provided for all frame assembly bolts and components, emphasizing the use of a torque wrench for proper assembly.
  • Switch Infinity System Maintenance: The fully sealed Switch Infinity mechanism features external grease ports for lubricating bushings and seals. A lubrication interval of 40 hours of riding is recommended, with instructions to clean excess dust and dirt.
  • Bearing Press Assembly: Detailed instructions for pressing bearings into the link and extender, ensuring proper seating.
  • Switch Infinity Bearing Assembly: Step-by-step guides for both V1 and V2 Switch Infinity bearing removal and installation.
  • Frame Assembly Instructions: Detailed, step-by-step instructions for assembling the frame components, including shock installation, cable port clamps, and Switch Infinity link.
  • Prep Key: Indicates where to use grease, Loctite, or nylon patch during assembly.
  • Rebuild Kits: Available kits for link and shock extender bearings, Switch Infinity V2 bearings, cable ports, nylon downtube protector, SB140 protector kit, and shock extender kit.
  • Hardware Rebuild Kit: A comprehensive kit containing various bolts, nuts, washers, and spacers for frame hardware replacement.
  • AXS Conversion Kit: Includes components for converting to a wireless drivetrain setup.
  • FOX Linear Bearing V2 Kit: Specific kit for FOX linear bearings.
  • Frame Protector Sheet: Available in gloss or matte finishes.
  • Shuttle Guard: An accessory for frame protection during transport.
  • SRAM Universal Derailleur Hanger: Replacement hanger.

Warranty:

  • Lifetime Warranty: All 2019 and newer frames, including the Switch Infinity, are covered for life against manufacturing defects for the original purchaser.
  • Paint and Finish: Covered for 1 year.
  • Conditions: Requires online registration at yeticycles.com and processing through an authorized Yeti Cycles dealer.
  • Exclusions: Does not cover damage due to ordinary wear and tear, neglect, or intentional destruction.
  • Crash Replacement: Offers a reasonable replacement price for crash or non-warranty situations.
  • Older Frames: Model year 2018 and older frames are covered under previous warranty terms (5-year or 2-year based on purchase time).

Important Warnings:

  • Always review and understand all warnings, instructions, and content in the manual and accompanying manuals.
  • Bicycle maintenance requires special knowledge and tools; Yeti recommends all service and repairs be performed by an authorized Yeti Dealer.
  • Failure to follow prep instructions during assembly could lead to serious frame issues.
  • Using non-genuine Yeti parts or modifying frame parts will void the warranty and transfer all liability to the customer.
  • Using an angleset on the SB140 is not recommended and will void the warranty.
  • Always perform a final check for dropper post insertion to ensure it is above the minimum insertion line and that there is no tire interference with the saddle or AXS battery at full bottom out.
