It is important to avoid aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, oven sprays, stain or rust removers, scouring powder, or sponges with an abrasive effect, as these can damage the ceramic glass and hob frame.
Special care is needed for sugar spills or melted plastics; these should be removed immediately with a glass scraper while still warm to prevent surface damage. If the material has cooled, gently reheating the cooking zone can aid in the cleaning process. The hob frame should be cleaned with water and a little washing-up liquid, and care should be taken to prevent acidic liquids like vinegar or lemon limescale removers from coming into contact with it, as this can cause matt spots.
