4.5 Inclination of column 32 in the rotating/tilting head
CAUTION
Before inclining the column 32, check how far it can be inclined without the microscope
colliding with the double boom, the object to be examined or the mounting surface or base
plate. Move the double boom up before, if necessary.
Loosen clamp lever (
4-1/5) on rotating/tilting head (4-1/7).
Incline column 32 with Stemi mount and microscope into the desired position.
Retighten the clamp lever (
4-1/5).
When zooming with the microscope, the object feature in the image center will remain there
if the microscope axis is perpendicular to the object surface. In general, this requirement will
not be met after the column 32 was inclined. In this case, the image will be shifted up or
down while zooming.
