Safety Tips
Wear suitable work clothes such as boots with non-slip soles, sturdy long
trousers, gloves and goggles. Threading the power cord through a picking sleeve
will prevent the cord from tangling or getting cut.
Do not wear long flowing clothing or jewelry, as this may be caught by moving
parts.
Do not use tool while walking barefooted or while wearing open sandals.
a. Don’t use the electric pruner in the rain.
b. The electric pruner is designed for trimming hedges, vines or branches.
Do not use to cut metal, trellis wire, extremely hard wood or other
objects.
c. Do not attempt to dislodge a blocked/trapped blade before switching the
tool off.
d. Before commencing with pruning, check the vines or branches for hidden
objects such as trellis wire etc.
e. When operating the electric pruner always hold with both hands at a safe
distance away from your body.
f. Do not use tool in the vicinity of flammable liquids or gasses. Fire and
explosion risk exist in the event of a short circuit.
g. Check the blades for wear in regular intervals and sharpened. Dull blades
will overload the machine resulting in damage which is not covered by
warranty.
h. Do not attempt to repair the tool yourself. First, check Troubleshooting
on page 15. If determined a serious repair is needed- contact Dealer.
Special Safety Instructions for Battery Operated Tools
SCA2 and SCA3 batteries are not interchangeable!
a. Switch should be in the off” position before inserting battery. Equipment will
become damaged if the switch is in the “on” position.
b. Charger designed for use indoors only.
c. Disconnect power to charger when cleaning contacts to avoid damage.
d. Don’t place battery in bright light or on hot surface. It is possible for the battery
to explode.
e. After pruning, let the battery cool down before charging.
f. Don’t take battery apart to avoid damaging the battery or injury to self.
g. Don’t use recycled batteries.
