After the modem completes a self-test, it synchronizes with the
cable provider network. During this process, the SYNC light
blinks, rapidly at first, then slowly. The ACT light flickers briefly as
the modem receives information from the cable provider.
Note:
Synchronization can take from 20 seconds to five minutes.
When the process is complete, the SYNC light becomes steady
On.

This completes the installation of the modem. Please turn to the
next section, Configuring Your Browser, on page 25.
Tip:
If you want to use your cable modem with more than one
computer, please contact your cable service provider.
