Why is there no sound coming from my Zoom RhythmTrak RT-223, or why is the volume very low?
    • N
      Natalie BryantJul 26, 2025
If you're experiencing no sound or very low volume from your Zoom Drums, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the correct AC adapter or batteries are being used and properly connected. Check that the [R OUT] and [L/ MONO OUT] jacks are correctly connected to the playback system, as described in "Getting Connected". A faulty cable could also be the issue, so try using another one. Verify that the connected playback system is operating normally and the volume level is appropriately adjusted. Finally, make sure the [VOLUME] control on your RT-223 is set to a suitable position.

What to do if the sound from my Zoom RhythmTrak RT-223 is distorted or intermittent?
    • C
      crossericAug 1, 2025
If the sound from your Zoom Drums is distorted or intermittent, the output level of the RT-223 might be set too high. Try adjusting the [VOLUME] control on the RT-223 to a more suitable position. Alternatively, the LEVEL parameter of the COMP EQ effect might be too high; in that case, set it to a suitable value.

If hitting a pad on your Zoom Drums produces no sound or a very low level sound, the pad settings might not be correct. Use the [FUNCTION] key and pad [+] (PAD SENS) to adjust the pad sensitivity.

Why can't I record a song or pattern on my Zoom RhythmTrak RT-223?
    • K
      Kaitlyn DavidAug 13, 2025
If you cannot record a song or pattern on your Zoom Drums, it's possible that you have reached the memory capacity limit. To resolve this, delete any unneeded patterns and songs to free up memory.
  • J
    Justin FieldsAug 18, 2025
Why is simultaneous playback with MIDI components not possible on my Zoom RhythmTrak RT-223 Drums?
    • S
      Stephen BoyleAug 18, 2025
If simultaneous playback with MIDI components is not possible on your Zoom Drums, the MIDI receive function might not be enabled. Use the [FUNCTION] key and pad [()] (MIDI) to change the setting from "Int" (MIDI clock receive disabled) to "Ext" (MIDI clock receive enabled).
