Most apps that send notifications, such as Gmail and Google
Talk, have notification settings that you can adjust.
NOTE: If you turn off notifications for an app, you may miss its
important alerts and updates. The notifications of some apps
cannot be turned off.
TIP: In the notification panel, touch at the top of notifications
list to get to the Settings menu quickly.
Use Quick Settings
The Quick Settings above the notification panel make it
convenient to view or change the most common settings for your
phone.
Open the notification panel and you can find the following Quick
Settings on the top of the screen. Slide left or right to view the
setting options.
Auto-rotate: Touch to turn on or off the auto-rotate feature.
Wi-Fi: Touch to turn on or off Wi-Fi.
Bluetooth: Touch to turn on or off Bluetooth.
GPS: Touch to turn on or off GPS function.
Sound: Touch to turn on or off the silent mode with vibration.
Data: Touch to enable or disable data access over the mobile
network.
Sync: Touch to turn on or off the auto-sync feature.
Airplane mode: Touch to turn on or off the airplane mode.
Brightness: Touch to adjust the screen brightness.
