How to install tamper switch to protect Helios IP against
unauthorized entry
This manual is valid for Helios IP Force and Helios IP Safety. You can use RFID card
reader as well as additional relay to place tamper switch!
Also mind that HW tamper switch can be used in Helios IP UNI, more info you can find in
installation manual of Helios IP UNI!
Since 2013 will be tamper switch attached to CPU, so you will have possibility to
configure function which will be started when activation tamper switch will be done,
more info in configuration manual!
1. As very first step you have to uncover front panel. Use torx screw 4 mm (Pic. 1). In
the (Pic. 2) see necessary accessories you will need during the installation.

2. Then you need to remove key panel. Use cross-point screw driver.

Summary

Install Tamper Switch for Helios IP

Uncover Front Panel and Identify Accessories

Remove the front panel using a 4 mm torx screw and identify necessary installation accessories.

Remove Key Panel

Remove the key panel using a cross-point screwdriver for further installation steps.

Replace Screw and Connect Reader/Relay

Replace a screw and connect the RFID card reader or additional relay to the designated connector.

Re-attach Key Panel and Locate Tamper Connector

Place the key panel back and identify the connector for the tamper switch on the right side.

Activate Tamper Switch Functionality

Cover the front plate, press buttons to close the circuit, and verify tamper switch security function.
