To initiate firmware update process via CCT, user need to provide working internet connection to
gateway’s ETH0 port. Once internet connection is available to gateway, user need to wait till LED1 goes
GREEN in the Gateway. Once, LED1 is GREEN, user can press “update” button as shown above in Figure 31
to start the firmware update process in Gateway. A dialogue window will pop-up to confirm to continue
the process. Once user press “Yes” button, firmware update process is initiated in the Gateway.
The firmware update process in Gateway is initiated with Provisioning Tool sending the relevant
information to the Gateway to download the firmware file from ABB hosted cloud. With this download
process in initiated and once it is completed, Gateway will apply the update & reboot gateway.
