Installation
Planning before installation
Install the unit to a position where any danger to the UPS is minimized to ensure a
long service life:
• Install the UPS indoors.
• Leave 25 cm of space on each side of the cabinet to enable cooling airflow and
ensure that the circulation of air to the ventilation slits is not obstructed.
• Avoid excessively high temperature and excessive moisture.
• Make sure that the surface is solid and flat.
Rack mount installation – requires rack mounting kit, to be purchased
separately
PowerValue 11 RT can be installed in a 19-inch rack. Both the UPS and the external
battery enclosure are 2U in height.
• Align the rack mounting ears on the side of the UPS and tighten the screws.
(Fig.1)
• Assemble the rack rails with the rack-mounting kit. (Fig.2)
• Slide the UPS into the rack rail and lock it into the structure. (Fig.3)
• Tighten the screws and then proceed with wiring of the UPS .
Tower installation
• Place the UPS in a vertical position with the front panel screws orientated as in
