3.5 System response
System response” in the “Settingsmenu opens a dialog that provides a choice of
how the system should react to differential current alarms and to isolator alarms.
Details of the differential current supervision and isolator status supervision
systems are given in the Application Manual.
3.5.1 System response to a differential current alarm
Continue in operation: The busbar protection continues to function.
Block busbar protection: Operation of the entire busbar protection is blocked.
Selective block busbar protection (preferred): Operation of the busbar
protection is only blocked for the section of busbar (protection zone)
concerned.
Setting the response to “Block” is more likely to cause a failure to trip and to

3.5.2 System response to an isolator alarm
Continue in operation: The busbar protection continues to function.
Block busbar protection and Intertripping: Operation of the busbar protection
and intertripping scheme is blocked throughout the system.
Selective block busbar protection and Intertripping (preferred)
The busbar protection and intertripping are only blocked for the section of
busbar (protection zone) concerned.
