Diagnostic Guidelines
By means of pressure readings:
High

Low side
Overcharged with refrigerant.
Non-condensable gases in refrigerant circuit
(e.g. air)
Obstructed air-intake / discharge.
Hot air short circuiting in outdoor unit.
High

Poor compression / no compression
(compressor defective)
Reversing valve leaking.

Undercharged with refrigerant.
Refrigerant leakage.
Air filter clogged / dirty (indoor unit).
Indoor fan locked / seized.
